FAQ untuk Ekspor Data di Wechat


1. Mengapa saya tidak bisa meminta data saya?
Hanya pengguna yang mendaftar di UE, CA, dan AS dan tidak menggunakan aplikasi versi China yang disederhanakan yang dapat mengakses opsi ekspor data. Selain itu, permintaan Anda akan ditolak jika keamanan akun Anda terganggu dengan cara apa pun, atau jika batas ekspor data untuk hari/bulan saat ini telah tercapai.

Negara-negara Uni Eropa adalah Austria, Belgia, Bulgaria, Kroasia, Siprus, Ceko, Denmark, Estonia, Finlandia, Prancis, Jerman, Yunani, Hongaria, Irlandia, Italia, Latvia, Lithuania, Luksemburg, Malta, Belanda, Polandia, Portugal, Rumania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spanyol, dan Swedia.


2. Bagaimana saya bisa meminta data saya?
Buka Saya > Pengaturan > Keamanan Akun > Pengaturan Lainnya > Ekspor Data Pribadi untuk meminta data Anda. Untuk menerima data Anda, Anda harus memberikan alamat email tempat Anda dapat menerima email. Email verifikasi akan dikirim ke alamat email yang ditautkan ke WeChat (jika tidak ada alamat email yang ditautkan ke akun WeChat Anda, Anda akan diminta untuk menautkannya). Klik "OK" di email untuk mengonfirmasi dan kembali ke WeChat untuk memilih data yang ingin Anda ekspor. Setelah permintaan diajukan, Anda akan melihat halaman di bawah ini. Data yang Anda minta akan tersedia dalam tiga hari kerja, dan tautan untuk mengunduh data akan dikirim ke alamat email yang diverifikasi.

3. Why haven't I received the verification email?
Ensure you have provided the correct email address and that it can receive emails. If your email is working but you still have not received the verification email, check the junk box to see whether it has been accidentally classified as junk mail.
If the email address can't be used, change to another email address on the following request page.


4. Why am I unable to link my email/confirm my request? 
The confirmation link in the email expires after a certain amount of time. After it expires, the link will become invalid. Go back to WeChat and send the email linking/verification email again.


5. After the request is confirmed, how long will it take receive the exported personal data?
WeChat will prepare your data and send a data download link to your verified email within three days of receiving a successful request.

If the security of your account becomes compromised while the data is being prepared, a notification will be sent to you via the WeChat Team to allow you to cancel the data export.


6. Why I have not received the email with my personal data download link?
Ensure you have provided the correct email address and that it can receive emails. If the email is working but you still have not received the email, check the junk box to see whether it has been accidentally classified as junk mail.
If you still do not receive the email, you can link a new email address and request the data export again.
Alternatively, tap here to contact WeChat Overseas Customer Services, who can export your data manually.  Please be aware that it may take the customer services team a long time to export the data (up to one month). You are recommended to first try exporting the data yourself.


7. How can I cancel a data export request? 
After the data export request is confirmed, you can go to Request History to see a status page and then cancel data export. 


8. Why can't I export my chat history?
According the privacy provisions in the General Data Protection Regulation, you are entitled to access the data stored on WeChat servers. Your chat history cannot be exported because the chat history is not stored on a server.
Currently, the following types of data can be exported: personal data in My Moments, Favorites data, and personal account information.


9. How can I check the status of my request?
After your request is confirmed, you can view its status by going to Export Personal Data > Request History.


10. How will I know when the data are ready?
You will be sent a WeChat service notification when the data are ready to download. You can also check the status of your request via Request History.


11. How do I download my personal data? 
Once data are ready to download, an email will be sent to your verified email address. Click the link using a computer and a web page displaying a QR code will be opened in the browser. Scan this code using the Scan QR Code function on your mobile to verify your identity, and the download page will open. Click the link and download the zipped package to your local storage. Enter the password to unzip the package and access the data.


12. Why can't I download the data?
Make sure you open the download page on web browser on a PC or Mac computer and that your computer is connected to the Internet during entire download process.


13. Why I can't I unzip the file? 
Pastikan paket zip telah berhasil diunduh; dalam keadaan tertentu, file dapat dipecah menjadi dua atau lebih paket zip karena terlalu besar. Unduh semuanya dan letakkan di folder yang sama. 
Kata sandi harus digunakan untuk membuka zip paket. Anda dapat menemukan kata sandi di email.
